My wife has driven me 70 miles round trip for the past  nine days to have laser surgery done on my torn retina in my right eye. That is a total of  630 miles!

As to this date,I still can't see out of that eye. I am going to a Carrie Underwood concert next Friday night. I wish I had both eyes to watch Carrie !

    I have to wait until April 14th to see if my eye has healed  enough to remove the cataract that was caused by the laser. After the cataract is removed,I may get my eye sight back. If not, I can wear an eye patch and become a pirate !

You never think about your eye sight until you don't have it! I just lost the sight in my right eye.The retina was torn from my eye. I did not have an accident, it just came off. The are trying to re-attach it ,but they can't promise anything.They  have worked on it 3 times now,and all I still see out of it is  a fog. At least I still  have my left eye to see  out of.They say it will be a long time until I get my sight back in that eye,if ever.

I woke up this morning to find I was snowed in! Just about everything was closed. the banks were closed and the mail man did not even come.

I spent a year fighting in the Viet Nam war 40 years ago. I saw many of my friends fall beside me. I was one of the lucky ones that made it out alive. I just posted over 30 pictures of Viet Nam that I took back in 1969 for you that had a family member in Nam. Yes, WAR IS HELL!
